Conserve water resources and improve water management to become a water-positive organization.

• Water Conservation Initiatives: India Cements has implemented measures for efficient water usage, recycling, and rainwater harvesting. Our efforts include de-silting and deepening rivers, lakes, and ponds, bund heightening of tanks, and providing drinking water facilities to villages, schools, institutions, and public places.
• Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs): We have installed STPs at most of our operational locations to maximize water reuse opportunities. Treated water from these STPs is ensured to meet the appropriate levels of BOD, pH, COD, and free of TSS.
• Rainwater Harvesting: India cements actively focuses on water harvesting practices and have established several rain water harvesting techniques at our operational locations.

• Significant conservation of water resources, contributing to sustainable water management practices. In FY 2024, India Cements harvested 64% of our total water consumption through rainwater harvesting initiatives.
• Enhanced groundwater recharge and sustainable water usage through efficient utilization and recycling has led to us harvesting 1.9M m3 of rainwater in FY 23-24.
• Improved green spaces, fostering environmental sustainability and contributing to the overall well-being of our operational sites and surrounding areas. Currently, 95% of the treated water from these plants is dedicated to nurturing green spaces within and surrounding our operational sites.
