• Employee Welfare: India Cements led the way in employee welfare since 1960. Our plants feature state-of-the-art townships with recreation clubs, schools, sports facilities, and Occupational Health Centres (OHCs). Regular medical check-ups and healthcare awareness camps are conducted for employees and their families. Transportation facilities are provided for the employees and their family.
• Employee-Friendly Measures: During the COVID-19 pandemic, India Cements maintained full salary payments and job security for all employees, demonstrating unwavering commitment to employee welfare. Contributions to the Covid-19 Fund, distribution of food, FMCG, PPE kits, and other essentials to local poor people, migrant workers, front-line workers, and police, and village sanitization with water spray were part of our initiatives.
• Community Health and Support Initiatives: Annually, around 50,000 people benefit from extensive health camps, including general medical, eye, diabetes, cancer screening, women's health, blood donation, and hearing aid donations. Renovations of primary health centres and sanitary complexes, and donation of medical equipment to hospitals are also part of our efforts.
• Safety Training and Support: Safety is a top priority at India Cements. Comprehensive safety training programs are provided, employees are equipped with the latest safety gear, and full support is given to affected families in case of accidents. We celebrate Safety week and safety month and promote workplace, road safety in coordination with the local municipal officials. We also provide road safety barricades, reflectors to ensure safe transportation.
• Humanitarian Aid: During floods, food packets were distributed, and basic needs such as dress materials, footwear, vessels, tricycles, tarpaulins, and gift articles were provided to orphanages, old age homes, the blind, physically handicapped individuals, and roadside sleepers. We also donated cement to armed forces, temples, community halls, public toilets, and other community projects.
