Leading Investors visit Sankar Nagar Works, Mother Plant of India Cements

Company arranged a visit by leading investors to Sankarnagar Works on 6.7.2017 and Chennai Grinding Unit on 7.7.2017. Mr.Vaibhav Agarwal, VP- Research, Philip capital India, co-ordinated investors’ visit to our plants. They appreciated the initiative by our Company in organising the visit. They were impressed to see the 70 year old Sankarnagarplant maintained so well. It is the first plant of India Cements set up in 1948 and considered the mother plant of the Company. It is also amongst the first few cement plants that were set up in India soon after Independence.

Investors impressed by operating parameters.

During their visit, investors have found that the operating parameters and efficiency level at Sankarnagar plant are in line with the best of industry standards. They appreciated our management’s commitment to sustaining these efficiencies and improving them upon further.

While sharing their feedback on their visit to Chennai Grinding Unit, investors said they saw many original initiatives in the plant which they believe would be a key factor in its long term re-rating.
